About the artists:

Manoj Govindraj - Vocals:
Manoj Govindraj began his musical journey at a very young age and received rigorous training under Mrs. Vineeta Tembe, Pandit Prabhakar Karekar, Pandit Ramesh Prem, and Mrs. Geeta Prem.
A CCRT Government of India scholarship recipient (1988–1995) and rank-holder from Mumbai University, he earned his Master of Fine Arts in Hindustani Classical Vocal Music and received the prestigious Pandit Bhimsen Joshi Scholarship.
He is also a recipient of the esteemed Sur Singar Samsad Award for Light Vocal music.
Since 2004, Manoj has been a dedicated teacher and performer in the United States, founding the Swarras School of Music and mentoring students globally.
Equally at ease in Khayal, Thumri, Dadra, bhajans, ghazals, Abhang, Natya Sangeet, and film music, he brings rare classical depth and expressive versatility to every performance.

Rohan Prabhudesai - Keyboard:
Rohan Prabhudesai brings over 27 years of training in Hindustani, Western classical, and jazz traditions, reflecting a rare cross-cultural musical depth.
He began his Indian classical studies at the Goa Kala Academy and later trained under Dr. Kedar Naphade and Pandit Tulsidas Borkar.
In Western classical music, he studied piano with Edwin Lopez and Ron Thayer, and pursued advanced composition at NYU Steinhardt and Charles University in Prague.
For the past decade, he has deepened his artistry through dedicated jazz studies with Fred Fischer in New Jersey.
His versatile musicianship seamlessly bridges classical nuance, contemporary harmony, and improvisational fluency, enriching every collaborative performance.

Prasad Joshi - Tabla:
Prasad Joshi received his foundational training in tabla from his father, Shri Vivek Joshi, and advanced his studies under Pt. Malharrao Kulkarni.
He further refined his artistry and expansive solo repertoire under the guidance of Pt. Divyang Vakil.
An accomplished soloist, he is equally admired as a sensitive and intuitive accompanist to distinguished vocalists and instrumentalists.
Comfortable across both classical and light musical traditions, he brings depth, precision, and aesthetic insight to every performance.
